Ann Budd has followed up her popular "Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns" with a book devoted to sweaters. She has created template patterns for 6 basic sweater styles including Drop Shoulder, Raglan, Seamless Yoke, Set in Sleeves, and Saddle Shoulders. Each pattern is written for 5 children's sizes ranging from 26"-34" finished measuerment and 10 adult sizes ranging in size from 36"-54" finished measurement. Directions are given for working in 5 different gauges, so the knitter can easily knit a sweater for any weight of yarn. Besides the template patterns, Ann has included 3 patterns in each chapter to illustrate the sweater style. There are also tips for changing neck lines, shortening sleeves, adding pattern stitches, buttonholes, and more. The book has a pocket in back for notes and is spiral bound to lay flat.
